Snowy Forest of Light and Dark (2019)

This piece was part of my AP Studio Art Concentration during my senior year. I painted this in Photoshop CS6 and I wanted to capture what it's like to have an internal battle. What is it like when you fight with yourself, make tough decisions, and don't know where to go? You often put yourself in the center to contemplate. Through the piece's composition, color, placement, lighting, shading, character, and environment, I hope to convey a similar emotional and complex concept.
